Wanted: Feedback - American Idol Edition

Hi, my name is Casey and I watch American Idol. There I’ve said it. It just feels so good to actually say it out loud…I feel so free…

Okay now that I’ve admitted it lets move on to real topic of this post. As Idol fans already know, each night the contestants have to pick a song from that nights required theme and then sing it. Easy enough. Well this season, Linds and I have a developed a little game of trying to decide which song we would choose for that nights given theme, assuming of course we had any singing ability. Your song choice is actually a really interesting insight into your musical influences. I suck at this game, because I can never decide what I’d pick…the Decades are too hard because there are way too many good songs to choose from.

Here’s my song list for this season’s episodes so far:
The 60’s – Nico – These Days clip

The 70’s – Led Zeppelin – Hey Hey What Can I Do
clip
The 80’s – The Cure – Close To Me clip
or The Outfield – Your Love clip
or U2 – Sunday Bloody Sunday clip
Lennon/McCartney Song Catalog – The Beatles – Norwegian Wood clip

Let me know what you'd pick...I'm curious...

Just another interest shared by screaming pre-teen girls and Casey. Next post will confess his love for all things Sanrio and show you his Hannah Montana movie stub. Nooch.

I'll accept the challenge, despite the fact that it shows Casey indeed a pre-teen girl.

60s- "Hold on I'm Comin" by Sam and Dave
70s- "Is She Really Going Out with Him" by Joe Jackson
80s-"Train in Vain" by the Clash (released in the US in 1980, so it's 80s to me)
Lennon/McCartney-"Penny Lane" although, if I could pick any song written by either Lennon or McCartney, it would have to be "Say Say Say."

OUCH Casey - i hope your budding new hormones don't sting as much as those comments. BTW - you can borrow my Hello Kitty pillow to cry your self to sleep.

I am a post-teenage girl so I'll play:
60's - "Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield
70's - "Here I am (come and take me)" by the pre-reverend Al Green
80's - "Voices Carry" by Til Tuesday
Lennon/McCartney - "Why Don't we do it in the Road" - why not? That's only because Casey already took Norwegian Wood (my all time fav).
-erika (ps i love your site)

I have to admit that Amanda drags me into Idol and this season I have probably been more beat down by it than usual. Accept for that Jaqueezy (or however you spell it). That kid has something hood about him that I like...

I couldn't tell you what people have sung, but I'll play...

60s - "I'm Still In Love with You" - Al Green
70s - "Beast of Burden" - Rolling Stones
80s - "Charming Man" - The Smiths
Lennon/McCartny - We Can Work Out (althought Hard Days Night is my favorite for sentimental reasons)
